An up-to-date guide to the best La Digue hotels, and resorts. From beachfront options with crystal clear snorkeling waters to tropical jungle self-catering hideaways!
La Digue is a small 3.9 square miles (9.9km²) granitic island, located within the inner islands of the Seychelles. Conveniently, it’s just a 1-hour ferry ride from Mahe and is worth staying at least a night or two during your travels around the Seychelles.
La Digue is popular for its famous beaches with crystal clear waters and magnificent granite formations, nature trails, and unique, endemic wildlife like the Giant Tortoise.
Below are my 10 accommodation recommendations, including my favorite Hotel Chateau St Cloud. These include luxury picks, mid-range La Digue hotels, and self-catering options.

Below are my top picks. These accommodations offer everything you need when staying on La Digue Island and provide great value for money. If you're looking for more options, read on below.

In terms of choosing the best area or region for where to stay, this isn't too important on La Digue. That's because you can get almost anywhere on the island within 30 minutes by bicycle.
However, if you're looking to stay as central as possible, then the main tourist hub of La Digue is on the west side of the island near the jetty. This comprises two adjacent villages called L'Union and La Passe. Here, visitors will find a variety of hotels, luxury resorts, and self-catering lodges to choose from.
This region is also within walking distance of highlights like the L'Union Estate and the incredible Anse Source D'Argent.
