An up-to-date accommodation guide to the best Praslin hotels, luxury beach resorts, and self-catering villas to help you plan where to stay on a trip to the Seychelles.
Are you planning a trip to the relaxing Seychelles island of Praslin and wondering where to stay?
After exploring every inch of this island with the Seychelles Tourism Board, I’ve written this Praslin accommodation guide to provide you with the most reliable and comprehensive resource for Praslin Island hotels and resorts you’ll find online.
I’ll include the best areas to stay, tips on getting a great accommodation deal, and a comparison of my recommended hotels to suit every budget.
The Best Areas to Stay on Praslin
While significantly larger than its quieter neighbor La Digue, Praslin is still a very laid-back, relaxed island without the traffic and party scenes you'll find on Mahé. However, there is still very decent tourism infrastructure including restaurants, resorts, hotels, and transport services.
- Grand Anse- A great area to stay for those looking to relax by the breathtakingly beautiful Grand Anse Beach. Since Praslin has an island airport, many people choose to fly here from Mahé and stay in this area close by.
- Anse Volbert (Cote D'Or Beach)- The most popular area to stay on Praslin. This is a resort and hotel strip with many luxury beachfront accommodation options and excellent restaurants.
- Anse Kerlan- If you'd prefer to stay near the famous Anse Lazio, there are a couple of great accommodation choices on the northern tip.
- Baie Ste Anne - This area is near the ferry port, making it a convenient choice for travelers arriving by boat from Mahé.
The Best Places to Stay on Praslin
Praslin is the second largest of the inner islands and flaunts some incredible hotels and resorts. Being a little sleepier than Mahe, Praslin caters to the more relaxed crowd.
Below are my three top picks for a comfortable stay in Praslin.
1. Acajou Beach Resort Beachside
4-star accommodation right on the doorstep of the white sands of Cote d'Or. I had the pleasure of staying here and honestly, it was one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at. Acajou offers ocean views rooms, a swimming pool, and some of the best fine dining on the island.
2. Constance Lemuria Luxury
Tucked away between 3 of the best beaches on Praslin, this luxury, 5-star resort is ranked as one of the best honeymoon options in the Seychelles. Attached is a luxury spa center complete with a hot tub and sauna set in a bamboo forest.
3. Treasure Island Retreat Self Catering
This accommodation offers seafront apartments on Anse Kerlan, each complete with king-sized beds a fully-equipped kitchen, and a furnished terrace or balcony.
Below is a summary of all the best Praslin hotels & resorts listed in this article. I've included three categories based on various budgets to ensure it suits all travel and budget styles.

Hi, just discovered your blog/site and it's our jumping off point for the hike to Anse Major tomorrow, looks great! Thanks for the inspiration and the guide.
We just returned from Praslin and I noticed a small error in your description of areas to stay on Praslin. You listed Baie St. Anne as tje area close to the airport. That area is close to the ferry port, not the airport. The area close to the airport is Anse Kerlan and Grande Anse.
