It's best to book your hotel in Athens at least 2-3 months in advance if you're planning to visit during the peak season (summer, especially June to August). For the off-peak season, booking a month in advance is generally fine and you will find better deals.

Three nights in Athens is just right to explore the city's main attractions without feeling rushed. It is enough time to see the Acropolis and its museum, explore the historic Plaka neighborhood, and wander through the Ancient Agora. Plus, you'll have time to enjoy the local dining and nightlife.
